Duane Wardle Garners "CFO of the Year" Award
Duane Wardle, our senior vice president and CFO, has won Utah Business magazine's first annual "CFO of the Year" award for the large private company category. The award was announced at a special banquet on June 18, 2008. Utah Business magazine recognized 24 finalists at the event and bestowed an award to a top executive from each of eight categories.
Having served as the CFO of YESCO since 1979, Duane has played a significant role in our company's expansion in both size and complexity. During his tenure, the number of YESCO employees has tripled and revenue has grown 60-fold.
"Duane is a consummate finance professional who has earned respect from internal and external partners for his attention to detail and financial acumen," stated Michael Young, YESCO president. "His leadership has proven crucial – not only to our success over the past decades, but also in growing the next generation of YESCO finance leaders."
In addition to the accounting expertise he provides, Duane directly participates in training the YESCO sales team on financial matters. By making it a priority to build strong relationships with the company's account executives, he has enhanced cohesiveness between financial and sales elements within the company.
