Congressman James L. Oberstar of Minnesota recently reported to the United States House of Representatives on the successful partnership between law enforcement agencies and the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, making special mention of YESCO and their instrumental help in developing the software that makes this partnership possible.

“The space and time [used to alert the public of wanted fugitives] on digital billboards are donated. The FBI worked closely with the outdoor advertising industry to develop computer software to facilitate the transfer images and text to digital billboards. Specifically, Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO) based in Utah built the computer software.” (You can read the entire transcript here.)

This technology and partnership have also been major factors in the success of the AMBER Alert program. YESCO technical experts Graham Beland and Spencer Basset developed the software that sends AMBER Alert messages to digital billboards, aiding in the safe return of many abducted children to their families.
