Sign and Lighting Service Technician
YESCO Atlanta Central is looking for an experienced Service Technician to repair and maintain exterior electrical signs and parking lot lights, including LED, fluorescent, and neon signage. The ideal candidate will have a good driving record, several years’ experience driving/operating lift equipment and familiarity with the Atlanta area. Must be capable of trouble-shooting electrical issues, be able to properly document work orders using service software and communicate effectively with customers and sales representatives.

The Sign and Lighting Service Technician is a vital role at YESCO Atlanta. The successful candidate will perform service activities such as organizing daily schedule of service calls, managing travel efficiently between calls, investigating and resolving technical issues with sign equipment and eliminating future operational or service difficulties. Responsibilities may include:

  • • Safely operating lift equipment to perform sign service assessment and repair
  • • Replacing / installing electrical components of signs to resolve illumination issues
  • • Investigating findings to determine source of problem, and recommending repair, replacement, or other corrective action
  • • Coordinating with sales representatives to provide customers with service pricing quotes
  • • Performing electrical troubleshooting and repair to ensure functionality of electrical signs and lights
  • • Implementing and maintaining quality control and safety during service
  • • Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs to service equipment and vehicle
  • • Providing a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma; three to five years of demonstrated experience in electrical sign service as Lead Technician; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • • Ability to operate a 50′ bucket truck, work outdoors in high precarious places in all kinds of weather at heights of 50′ or greater
  • • Ability to read, interpret, and apply specification documents, government coding document information, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • • Ability to understand basic electrical mathematical calculations
  • • Ability to move, lift, and carry materials equipment, parts, occasionally in excess of 75 lbs
  • • Ability to communicate job status/progress with clients and office representatives / Outstanding customer service skills
  • • Ability to properly document work orders using service software
  • • Familiarity with smart phones and / or tablets
  • • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen


  • Lighting Service Technician: 3-5 years (Required)
  • Sign Installation: 3-5 years (Preferred)


  • Drivers License Required
