F.I.S.H. or “Friends in Service Helping” is a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the less fortunate in the Elko community. It began serving families in 1987 through food banks, soup kitchens, thrift stores, donations, and emergency shelters. They offer countless other services to the community as well. Their mission? “To determine and provide for the needs of individuals seeking urgent or supplemental assistance in Elko County and surrounding Northeastern Nevada.”
