Two 100-Year Old Utah Companies Join Forces for New Sign Installation

Sign Installation

On, Aug. 28, YESCO installed the Utah PaperBox sign in Salt Lake City. Notably, both companies have been in business in Utah for a century or longer.

“It is pretty special when two companies with a combined history of 200-plus years come together,” said Ryan Young, Salt Lake region manager of YESCO. “YESCO has been installing signs for Utah PaperBox for the past 45 years.” Utah PaperBox traces its roots back to 1914.

“Not too many companies can say they’ve been working together for 45 years,” said Paul Keyser, Chairman of the Board of Utah PaperBox. “We knew we needed a new sign and YESCO was our first call.”

FUN FACTS:

  • The sign measures 16-by-28 feet and weighs approximately 3,500 pounds
  • It uses light-emitting diode (LED) internal illumination technology
  • Fabrication of the new sign took over 507 man-hours
  • Removal of the old sign and the new sign installation took 160 man-hours
