YESCO announces it has completed a series of exterior signs for the Showcase Mall on the Las Vegas Strip. The project features state-of-the-art LED displays, towering signs and custom blade signage designed to captivate millions of passersby in one of the world’s most iconic tourism corridors.

The primary highlight of the installation is a 171-foot-10-inch-tall by 57-foot-wide double-sided pylon sign, outfitted with two massive 86-foot by 57-foot 10-mm LED displays. The cantilevered pylon sign comprises 12 LED cabinets, each weighing between approximately 24,000 and 32,000 pounds when fully populated. The structure features decorative cladding and programmable LED lighting elements that wrap around the top and west-facing side, enhancing its nighttime presence. Two sets of illuminated letters further accentuate the pylon’s visual impact, making it a focal point for the retain and entertainment destination.

YESCO erected the pylon in a compact 20-foot by 20-foot area using a pipe offset stacking method. The pipe was intentionally set 2 feet 3 inches out of level and then returned to level as the cantilevered cabinets were installed. During the process, the team encountered existing footings that required additional excavation before installation could proceed.

To lift the massive cabinets into place, YESCO utilized a crane stationed near the center divider of Las Vegas Boulevard. Northbound traffic was rerouted during installation as each cabinet was lifted across the boulevard and over a 69-kilovolt power line, which was safely de-energized for the operation. The cabinets were then precisely set onto the structural pipe in their final positions.

In addition to the primary pylon, YESCO fabricated and installed a secondary pylon sign measuring 89 feet tall by 22 feet wide. This sign includes two 12-foot by 22-foot 10-mm LED displays and illuminated letters for tenants, ensuring maximum visibility. To complete the project, YESCO installed 20 internally illuminated, double-sided blade signs, including 10 measuring 20 feet tall and 10 measuring 8 feet tall.
