If you’ve driven past Exit 27 on I-15 lately, you’ve likely noticed a new landmark. We recently completed a full-scale signage package for the new Sapp Bros. Travel Center in Toquerville, Utah, headlined by a massive, custom-built “Coffee Pot” tower.
This project was a unique engineering challenge. Unlike other Sapp Bros. locations that repurpose existing water towers, we built this 100-foot structure entirely from the ground up.
The 27,000-pound coffee pot sitting at the top is over 24 feet tall and features custom red accent lighting on the lid, handle, and spout. It’s designed to be a true roadside landmark—something travelers will recognize instantly.
While the tower is the main attraction, the project covered the entire property to ensure a cohesive experience for guests:
- 19 Exterior Signs: Identifying fuel stations, service bays, and amenities.
- 23 Interior Sign Types: Including wayfinding and custom-printed wall murals.
- Technical Integration: Working with partners like Page Steel and Skyline Digital to integrate custom steel components and digital gas price displays.
Dan Dunstan, president of travel centers at Sapp Bros., mentioned that standing out on this stretch of highway is essential. We’re proud to have delivered a package that not only meets that goal but exceeds expectations.
As YESCO’s Jeff Young noted, this project has “personality.” It turns standard signage into a memorable landmark. We’re thrilled with how it turned out and look forward to seeing it welcome travelers for years to come.
