YESCO Completes New Signage for University of Arizona’s Football Stadium in Tucson, Arizona
YESCO announces the completion of new signage for the University of Arizona’s football stadium in Tucson, Arizona. The project includes a fully refurbished and re-illuminated version of the university’s iconic “A,” which is prominently visible for fans attending football games.
Arizona Stadium, home to Arizona Football since 1928, is a 50,782-seat facility that blends historic character with modern amenities. The stadium has undergone more than $100 million in renovations in recent years, and the new YESCO signage adds to the tradition and visual presence of this celebrated venue.
As part of the project, YESCO carefully removed the existing face of the landmark and used it as a pattern to fabricate a new face. The newly installed “A” measures 40 feet tall by 43 feet wide and features a state-of-the-art LED illumination system designed with GE 24v LEDs mounted via a custom rail system and powered by new energy-efficient supplies.
The sign’s face incorporates white, blue and red vinyl elements, each overlaid with a UV-protecting laminate to ensure durability and vibrancy for years to come. Additionally, the project included the installation of a new flex face engineered so no flex material is directly exposed to the sun.
“YESCO is honored to help the University of Arizona maintain one of its most recognized symbols,” said Jeff Young, executive vice president, YESCO. “This project ensures the ‘A’ continues to shine brightly for students, alumni and fans on game day and beyond.”
