At YESCO, every project is an opportunity to turn a client’s vision into a high-visibility landmark. We recently wrapped up an exciting project in Commerce City, Colorado, working alongside local commercial real estate firm RE1313 to design, build, and install a custom exterior branding and lighting package for 5200 Oneida.
This newly constructed commercial hub sits right off Interstate 270, giving move-in-ready businesses prime positioning in one of the fastest-growing areas in the Denver market. Our goal was simple: create a cohesive signage system that catches the eye of passing motorists, helps visitors navigate the site easily, and complements the property’s clean, modern architecture.
Standing Tall Along I-270
Getting noticed along a busy highway requires serious height and visibility. One of the main highlights of this project is a 35-foot-tall freestanding pylon sign designed to act as 5200 Oneida’s primary landmark.
To make a sign of this size possible, our team guided the project through Commerce City’s variance approval process to secure the height needed for maximum exposure. The completed pylon features illuminated open-pan channel letters and a bold, lit address that stays clear and legible day or night, finished in custom colors that match the building’s exterior palette.
A Special Touch from the Owner’s Family
We work on thousands of signs every year, but this project included a personal touch we don’t see every day. The initial design concept for the main address sign was actually sketched by the property owner’s daughter. Our production and installation crews took her original design and brought it to life as a fully fabricated, structural, and beautifully lit focal point.
Signage Built to Grow with New Tenants
As RE1313 welcomes new businesses to 5200 Oneida, the signage needed to adapt without looking cluttered. We manufactured and installed a modular joint identification sign with customizable tenant panels.
By keeping the typography standardized and using crisp white tenant branding, the directory maintains a unified look even as new names are added. High-efficiency LED light bars mounted above ensure the directory stays easy to read after dark.
Accentuating the Architecture
To round out the project, we installed custom architectural LED border lighting (supplied by N. Glantz & Son) along key building elevations. These sharp LED lines outline the building’s industrial structure, giving 5200 Oneida a distinctive, polished presence on the roadside once the sun goes down.
As our Chief Revenue Officer, Jeff Young, put it: “Signage isn’t just about identifying a building—it sets the tone for every visitor who arrives.”
