Neon Artwork at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium

The San Francisco Arts Commission will host a lighting and dedication ceremony to commemorate a new sight-specific neon artwork on the western facade of the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Through the use of language acclaimed conceptual artist Joseph Kosuth, W.F.T (San Francisco) presents the etymology of "Civic" and "Auditorium" in white neon.

The neon was made and shipped from Neonlauro in San Vendemiano, Italy. YESCO coordinated and installed the artwork.

This is Kosuth's first permanent public artwork on an historic building in the United States.
